Job Description
iSOCRATES is looking for an Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage day to day accounting activities as well as the internal accounting and payroll systems. Detailed job description as follows:
- Managing QuickBooks Online Account
- Maintaining Chart of Accounts for the company
- Adding new employee, customer and vendor information into QuickBooks
- Paying all bills and invoices
- Reconciling bank balances
- Accruing for future commitments
- Weekly QuickBooks responsibilities:
- Update transactions
- Pay vendor bills
- Issue invoices
- Set up and manage new vendors and customers
- Monthly QuickBooks responsibilities:
- Work with internal departments to gather data required to invoice the clients
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- Reconcile managerial to financial reports
- Reconcile vendor and other accounts
- Prepare, post journal entries and bill clients and other accounts
- Collect AR owed, where appropriate
- Working with Sr. Team Lead, run financial reports (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
- Ensure employees, contractors, partners and taxes are paid accurately and on time
- Set up and manage vendors, clients, PayPal and Credit Card Accounts
- Follow iSOCRATES LLC business expense reimbursement policies and procedures
- Comply with risk mitigation standards/practices
- Ensure clean, accurate, and actionable client reporting
- Support performance analysis of media buys across inventory & demand sources
- Prepare budgets and reports at regularly scheduled intervals (daily/weekly/monthly) for use in ad operations reviews
- Handle routine interfacing with internal employees and partners for client specific inquiries
- Work closely with company offshore administrative and ad operations personnel and reporting
- Proactively schedule time with vendor partners to hone knowledge of capabilities, methodologies and advanced optimization techniques
- Should have very good English speaking/writing skills to call customer support at our banks in the US as well as QuickBooks customer support in the US and not limited to
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Commerce or relevant field is required
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping
- Good organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong ability to analyse data, infer conclusions, and provide actionable insights
- Must be able to communicate findings with employees and partners in a clear and concise manner

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment to manage multiple requirements with tight deadlines
- Excellent QuickBooks, GreytHR and Microsoft Office application skills required
